In this screencast we will show the grid generation functionality of the Delft3D Flexible Mesh Suite 2016 (Delft3D FM). Delft3D FM is capable of handling curvilinear grids that provide very good performance in terms of computational speed and accuracy. In addition to this, the grid may also consist of unstructured meshes, such as triangles, quads, pentagons and hexagons. The example case is the Western Scheldt, The Netherlands.
Delft3D FM can simulate storm surges, hurricanes, tsunamis, detailed flows and water levels, waves, sediment transport and morphology, water quality and ecology, and is capable of handling the interactions between these processes.
